Passenger rail programs created by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) are already beginning to reshape America’s rail network, with the U.S. Department of Transportation awarding nearly $30 billion in rail grants, in addition to 69 planning and development grants for passenger rail corridors across 44 states.

However, the trains won't run unless Congress provides operational funding for Amtrak.

We need you to contact your Senators and ask them to reject the cuts to Amtrak, rail safety, and transit coming out of the House Transportation Subcommittee. We need Congress to live up to the promises it made in the IIJA, and support discretionary passenger rail funding in the Fiscal Year 2025 budget!
